| >> | No.50805554 >>50804884 I don't know if anything caused it, but I know it's very similar to what you just described. I used to be able to listen to a song on repeat for over an hour; I'll grow really fond of one album/song, but as soon as I move onto other music, that old album/song starts to do nothing to me.
Much like with you, I don't think it was always that way. If I was going to read maybe a little too deep into it, I would say that one album/song evokes a certain set of emotions that we grow attached to, but by the time we grow attached to another, the connection between the music and emotions of the first album/song is lost.
I think what must have happened to me, personally, is that I sensed this was going on, and now I don't allow myself to get attached to new music for worry of having to say goodbye to it. It's like having trust issues but with music.
I hope I'm not shitting up the thread. I don't listen to these exclusively, but these would be the kinds of artists that I lean towards during the seasons.
>Summer In the summer I'm really heavy on Fleet Foxes, Weezer, RHCP, Chance the Rapper, Action Bronson, ska/post-punk in general and a lot of guilty pleasure EDM/pop.
>Winter A lot of piano-centric music and dance-funk like LCD Soundsystem (although they're definitely a year-round thing). I will definitely have Uchu Conbini to look forward to. |

I think that the worst part about it, is that you can recognize the good parts, but you won't connect with those all the time. And it's worse when you listen to new music, and you don't know if the music has grown on you yet or you just don't like it because of that.
>I hope I'm not shitting up the thread. It's okay. The best discussion happen we you deviate from the OP a little.
Do you have a lastfm? Mine is noff01 if you want to add me.
