Haven't seen a noise thread in a while. Let's talk gear, artists, etc.Also here's a band I've been getting into.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TinyGfFGHcI
What's /noise/ been diggin' recently?I've been listening to a lot of xotox in the past few weeks
I dunno. I like brighter death now. I have been trying to get into dark ambient lately.
>>50777181How do i into making noise
Hi /noise/I haven't found anything new recently, but I've been listening to pic related a lot. Very excellent merzdisk. A bit long, but also a very wide range of sounds. What merzdisks does /noise/ like?
Ah, It feels so fucking good to be touring again. How does that make you feel /noise/? Have any of you faggots toured and performed with real pedals and shit? I bet you don't! Keep doing the same poor digital shit in your DAWs haha. Fucking poseurs. I bet you've never released a cassette tape. I also have over 400 entries in discogs. Now this some great noise right here.http://breakdancingronaldreagan.bandcamp.com/album/lulz-demonhttps://soundcloud.com/breakdancingronaldreaganLearn the difference between good/analogue noise and bad/shitty/digital made noise.
>>50777361Lots of ways. Kind of depends on what kind of sound you want. If you want a big massive wall of sound, one fairy simple/inexpensive way to achieve that is to get a guitar, a delay peddle, and an amp with distortion. Then just hook those fuckers together, turn the volume up on your amp, and let them feedback like crazy. Learning to use the delay peddle will take a little bit of work, but you should get at least somewhat satisfactory results pretty quickly.

More like this?
>>50778260I also second this. I like the track Where Were You.
Hey, can anyone give me some good noise labels? I'm familiar with RRRecords but that's about it
Hey /noise/, so I've been playing around with analog stuff recently.http://vocaroo.com/i/s0mvbfkpH4nUhttp://vocaroo.com/i/s1IvAinhq7NIJust looking for some opinions, really.I posted someone of my older stuff that had vocals but you guys told me they were bad so I tried to do without vocals. There's still a bit but not a lot. Anyways, feedback is appreciated; Johnny is filtered.

How do you guys feel about Pharmakon getting mainstream attention? I know her material is leaning far more towards power electronics than anything, but it could be argued as noise. Personally, I'm happy for her, but I don't really want this to catch on. Bestial Burden is pretty mediocre. If I start seeing hipsters talking about noise in my coffee shop i'm gonna be annoyed.
>>50778529>it could be argued as noisenot if you've heard bestial burden
>>50778529Honestly, it is what it is. Noise is finding it's own audience and I think it's amazing to think that it might actually gain traction. I've spoken to Margaret multiple times in person and she's a fantastic person. She makes great PE and deserves the spotlight, IMO.
>>50777444digital>analoug
>>50778529PE is a subgenre of noise. That said, I don't mind it getting headway, but that just means more shit to sift through in the genre. No big deal, just a slight detriment. Though personally I don't really see it getting a lot of popularity down the road.
Do you guys just buy random things like I do? I've realized that whenever I find myself on an online label I end up ordering shit I've never heard of. I've bought RRR's recycled music from many artists and I even have an order coming in now from Aquarius. Do you guys do the same thing?
>>50779379What exactly is Power elctronics
>>50779599I buy random record label merch. mostly windbreakers and hoodies
>>50779689I hate the fact that fact that "Pure Noise Records" is such a cool sounding label name, but all they release is pussy pop punk}pure noise records}doesn't release harsh noise
>>50779677harsh noise/noise + harsh vocals. See example.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7nQt9INXS4

Serious question. And let's be objective, shall we?What makes noise music or enjoyable?
>>50781205this subject has been discussed to death, and it's not productive, but I'll bite with one reply.Noise, as itself, is not music. Music is deliberately created and possibly made for the reception of others. Noise as a genre, as a style of music, is music. It is created by people in a way that is not random, not unchecked, and not left alone. It's made with care to fit what the artist is wanting. Now for what makes it enjoyable, here is my response: I like it because it's different. Many other genres are made to be less cacophonic intentionally or even have a recognizable melody within it. Noise music isn't like that.
While I was looking around for something for another thread, I managed to find that christian power electronics album I bookmarked on rym. Downloading it now, has anyone here listened to it or Blackhouse in general?
https://pizzacrustandslaiormono.bandcamp.com/track/angel-breathhere is some of my noise that i have been working on >>50778380I really like the second track it's very draining yet i can't get enough of it >>50777444Not to take away from your music but you are kind of a jerk for no reason. And i don't like the idea of ironic noise being your sole focus if that is your intention>>50781205Not all music is intended to be enjoyed in a traditional fashion "noise" being one of them.
>>50782530>Not all music is intended to be enjoyed in a traditional fashion "noise" being one of them. But music is structured sound, it has harmony and melody. Noise can't be music.
>>50782637Just because you can't recognize patterns doesn't mean it isn't music
http://rateyourmusic.com/release/album/bull_of_heaven/313__in_the_lining_of_your_skin/Oh look, Bull of Heaven released an album this year, I wonder if it's gonna be good or gimmicky shit
>>50783286it's not gimmicky so far, but it's kinda flat. The power noise section was decent enough but as a whole, eh.
>>50777444Semi-interesting noise; repulsive personality as usualI feel like people would respond well to your noise if you weren't such a fucking prick all the time
Something similar to Big Black?
>>50785737Not really similar but i'd think you'd enjoy the moments where you can hear the original peak through.
