''threads about these great genres will 404 with no replies''
Alternative country
not sportswave
Post-avant Jazzcore. Everybody agrees it's better than progressive dreamfunk, so there's no further discussion.
I got 1 reply to my modern funk thread earlier!

Gothic emo
Downtempo, a huge umbrella of genresAll I ever see is Bonobo and a few other albums being called trip hop before the usual big 3 arguments start
>>50639075That is not how you play Whose Line Is It Anyway?
>>50639660Seriously. It's like Colin or Ryan walking up and randomly saying genres that the audience have never heard of.
>>50639660he has it mixed up with the blue background jeopardy thing because he's a big fagthose two images and greentext have contributed more to the field of shitty-lazy-thread-making than anything else
Avant-garde bass death metal (some sort of experimental extreme metal)I mentioned "Neoandertals" a few times now in various threads, but never a reply. Quite a shame because I think their music is very interesting, though I'm sure most people wouldn't like it.It's hard to compare to anything else, but I'd say the closest is brutal death metal, but without guitars, melody and strict rhythm.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZlM9jTbzQ4
power popi've seen like two good power pop threads in the 7 months i've been coming here and people usually just post weezer and big star and call it a day
bumping to prevent this thread from 404'ing.
>>50639813What else would you rec apart from Teenage Fanclub and britpop?

>>50640734jellyfish is probably my 2nd favorite power pop band even though their career was short livedidk any other ones because nobody ever talks about power pop here but there's a rym list somewhere out there with 100 albums. i don't have a link though.
>>50640805Gypsy punk is discussed even less.I want to see a good Hindustani punk thread.

>>50640898Seiously m8, Krautrock is probably the most circlejerked genre on this board
>>50639428wat
>>50640952Yeah, but other than can or faust threads you're not gonna get any discussion dedicated to the genre.
Post shoegaze
>>50641493Actually have never seen nugaze discussed here.
queer electroclash
any genre without adjectives
>>50639797I like the instrumentals I just really don't enjoy this kind of harsh vocals. It always just seems too silly
>>50641817They have recorded a pure instrumental album, which however is less heavy and has very jazzy drumming:http://neoandertals.bandcamp.com/album/australopithecusQuite minimalist music, considering there are only drums and one bass line. No effects/layering at all.
>>50642006this is really good
>>50642006that sounds like precisely what I wanted out of them.
memefolk
>>50642030>>50642640Yet they remain a really obscure band. Only their first album ("Neanderthals Were Master Butchers") was released via a lable, the two following ones were self-released due to no label showing interest in their music. And I think I read somewhere that they sold only 60 copies or so of "Ebu Gogo Gutting The Child" during the first six months.
