The Flaming Lips and Yes. It's really tragic what happened to the Flaming Lips, though. They were one of, if not, the best band on the planet in the 90's, and Wayne Coyne was one of the coolest motherfuckers around in the early 2000's. Then their wackydoodle shenanigans possess their entire being, and in the rare moments where they're seen without those wackydoodle shenanigans such as "The Terror," their music is lacking the lyrical empathy that made their prior work so incredibly human and powerful. So they have to hide behind these "wackydoodle shenanigans" to obscure the fact that they're lacking inspiration. I really feel like this Miley Cyrus thing is the final straw, though. Wayne and Miley can run off into their juvenile interpretation of what acid is like while they find out what it really is like, just let me know when Wayne wants to come back. As for Yes, they can become a cover band of themselves after all the true members are dead. It's not like they're ever going to make another "Close to the Edge" again.
