That's hard to say. Right now, it's just too crisp and prominent. Everything else has that dense, wall of sound feel, but the vocals just feel like they're sitting on top of everything. Rather than effects, I almost feel like it's an EQ and mixing thing. It doesn't need to be drastic, but it's just a tad too bright.

Different guitars sound different. Sure, you'll end up applying tons of effects to the guitar, but those effects are not being applied in a vacuum. The effects are being applied over a foundation, and the foundation will necessarily have an effect on the finished product. A distortion applied to a Les Paul will sound different than the same distortion applied to a Strat. That's basic Instruments 101.
