Okay, so I'm listening to pic related (Spissy Spacek s/t) and honestly enjoying it. I've never really indulged into much harsh noise, only noise rock.

What's some stuff that's necessary to listen to?

also harsh noise general

thanks man

I'm trying to understand the genre a bit more. what I've listened to so far has been pretty cool, but what makes good noise good and bad noise bad?

anyone that really likes noise: why do you like it? care to elaborate?

Well, I like it because it's suuuuper fucking raw, and that's the type of shit I love. Noise gives you a sick adrenaline rush and is weirdly pleasent to listen to doing physical work or stuff like that

no one else interested in a noise thread?

I'd like to read some discussion, honestly

>> No.50398968

that SS s/t is something I listen to now and again but never really dedicated to.

I'm listening to that Masonna album the other dude recommended and liking it.

The only noise album I've ever liked was Merzbow's Pulse Demon. I used to make fun of Merzbow fans for being duped by his stupid ruse, and then I heard PD and thought "oh, I get it a bit".

I like noise for when plain old metal won't cut it. I've never worked out to it, but now I wanna just to see if it gets me where I need to go.

I think you would like Prurient 'History of AIDS'
That Sissy Spacek album is one of my favorites. John Wiese started my long affair with noise. I have corresponded with him via email. He is super accessible. Still love that first LP. OP if you're still here I can recommend much more good stuff.

it's like your trying to ruin any chance of anyone taking you seriously or not hating you

for someone who acts like their shit don't stink, you make some pretty generic noise

You should check out some shows. It's a good way to experience noise.

Pulse Demon is one of Merzbow's most monotone and stereotypically "random loud static for 70 minutes" album. If you like metal, check out Rectal Anarchy, his collab with Gore Beyond Necropsy
