When I first listened to all three I liked Sound of Silver best, after a few more listens it became s/t, and now it's This Is Happening and it's been way for a little over a year.
sound of silver although I feel like this is happening might be better
Goddamn James Murphy is so fucking awesome.
The Long Goodbye > 45:33 = This is Happening > s/t = Sound of Silver

Sound of Silver by far. S/T's still too rough, and This Is Happening is, imho, really uninspired and only gets praise because it was designed from the ground up to be the last LCD Soundsystem record.
>and why?ITT: No one explaining why. Great discussion boys.
the dancing man one

Five of the tracks on Sound of Silver (North American Scum-Us V Them, New York) are indisputable top ten LCD tracks, and none of the others have that many fucking incredible songs.I think Dance Yrself Clean and Home are both in the running for best LCD song, but This Is Happening as a whole isn't as strong.
This Is Happening. It just sounds great. I was never really into their production until this album. Also it was the soundtrack of summer 2010 for me, and that was a pretty rad summer...
Sound of Silver, easily.
>>49274734self titled disc 2. Both Yeah's, Losing My Edge, and Beat Connection can't be topped
This is Happening because it has the best songwriting and production and is also more consistent.
>>49274734the ones from '85, '86, and '87.
