ITT: Most hated song
Not necessarily worst song ever, just what pisses you off the most.
I want to kick a kitten every time I hear "Lips of an Angel" by Hinder.
| >> | No.49049578 You know what I hate? Top 40 pop music. It's fucking awful. How many songs must have the lyrics "tonight", "on the floor", "baby", and any number of ooooohs or aaaahhs or whatever stupid vocal droning they choose to do to fill a bar. I hate how so many of them have the same fucking singing voice and technique, like all people care about is a certain preconceived idea of what a talented singer should sound like. The production is just straight out boring. I don't know a huge deal of music theory or production, but the songs are so predictable and generic, It's like why try anything new when we can just repaint the old shit and nobody will care?
And you know what? The whole concept of pop music seems so paradoxial to me. It's popular because so many people like it, but people only like it because it's popular. It's marketed so well and so overplayed that no one questions it and just accepts it. There is an infinite amount of music out there yet pop music still sticks to the same cut-and-paste forumlas, in order to satisfy people who without it, probably wouldn't care about music. But then again, would people be open to more music if it was played on top 40 radio and presented as pop music?
And ofcourse this is all just a generalisation. There can be good, original pop songs, but they are just outliers in the vast sea of shit. I'm not trying to come across as euphoric, or a defener or something, but damnit I hate pop music. |
