They stole instrumentals from DJ Squeeky at one point and didn't pioneer anymore than DJ Sound and Player 1 and Bloody Bones. There were also more talented rappers in the area.

Don't get me wrong though, Mystic Styles is still probably my favorite memphis release though, and I've listened to quite a bit.

This is only true if you mean most influential Memphis rap act of the 90s.
Other wise Nas, NWA, Biggie, Dre, Jay Z and Snoop were all more influential to the genre of rap as a whole.
