Good Morning Good Nightfuck that shit
no noise albums included this has to be by far the least accessible thing ever made. inb4 basement dwellers: "hurr i found it so catchy and fun on first listen, hurr durr entry level experimental"
Its avant garde post doom/ drone metal done by an electric guitar played with a cello bowThe whale songs and the klingon love poems really bring it home

>>48595823What, no lowercase or serialism?
>>48595782I don't know, but i think it would have to be something that is so devoid of any obvious emotion, not even abrasive or frightening, so you can only really appreciate it if you have some high-level knowledge of music theory.
>>48595975It's definitely inaccessible, but I'm not certain if it is MORE inaccessible than Faust, Lil B, or Public Castration. If the entire album were like Hair Pie: Bake 1, there'd be no question that TMR is the least accessible.
>>48595837Is this actually worth listening to? I find it fascinating how the guitars are basically PLAYING THEMSELVES in this album, even if Lou Reed wasn't serious about it it's an intriguing concept

>>48595989>klingon love poemsDo you mean real Klingon or just shitty online translations from Bing?
>>48595975That album's only hard to get into if the only music you listen to is P4Kcore indie rock and hip-hop though. Most of it pretty much sounds like a more abrasive than usual post-punk album.
The Delicious Bread Collection - Tales from the Yeast Sideeasily
>>48596038I'm not surprised. Most of the albums here are inaccessible sure, but they're at least somewhat conventionally listenable. The idea behind Bradfields album seems to mostly be to play her instrument in the least pleasant way possible.
>>48596033Is Faust S/T that inaccessible? It took me around two listens to really begin to love and appreciate it.
>>48596064It's easy to get into it if you're into Black Metal and got to know it through Burzum like I did and suppose a lot of people do.
>>48596069I personally know the artist and this is legit klingon. He's a weird guy but his music is pretty original. worth a listen

>>48596096True, but I still felt that it deserves mention.
>>48596258I'd say onkyo is more inaccessible than harsh noise
I've listened to a lot of unusual shit at my family's house. My mom doesn't mind This Heat, Faust, or TMR, but this is what really, REALLY got on her (and others' nerves).https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIG83RT2T_g

>>48596258Harsh noise is like an endurance test for me. I'd be fine with 15 seconds of it in a death metal song, but an entire album of that shit is pretty difficult to sit through. Here's some Masonna for people who haven't heard much harsh noise.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iH5EAUCzHfA

>>48596382Yeah this, I've actually listened to some harsh noise albums through, and even though it's not always very pleasant it's still listenable. Sachiko M was just torture though, I had to put on a lowpass filter after a while.

0 songs ep
>>48596486Well you can just throw every anti-record in the mix as well, there are several far less listenable in that category as well.
I actually bought this on accident as a kid after running into their more mainstream popish songs like Stella Maris on limewire and loving it. Easily one of the greatest regret purchases I've ever done, and for a long time a living personal justification to pirate before buying. The funny thing is that I now like this band (in controlled doses), but hell if this shit is not the Duchamp's Fountain of avant garde music. It reaches a point where you're just listening to recordings of jackhammers and some faggot screaming over what sounds like literal toilet sounds and you are left wondering if you are actually being trolled. No one like this, the joke is on you, the fool that payed money for this "privilege" and now must pretend to have enjoyed it all with similar rubes trying to be next level.
>>48596393I enjoy a lot of the brutal technical death metal that is out there - including the stuff with quarter note scales - but I prefer when it is done with the piano just because the melodies and harmonies are more complex.
