>MORE THAN A BANDCAMP
Post the story that you believe would go with your album.
The same drones who post their links without reading this, are obviously the the people who don't read these notes before the thread and most likely post their link and just leave without leaving any feedback. In that case i would like to take a moment and say completly ignore their links and don't reply to theirs or leave feedback

Well this isn't an album but its an EP I guess considering its only 2 tracks. Basically (as cliche as it is) they are just love songs.
'The Things I Do For Love' is about me wanting to be with this girl for sexual pleasures hence the lyrics "Show me your room and things will only get better". But then I realize, this isn't all I want it to be. There must be more than this. A relationship isn't just about sex, hence the lyrics "And if you could, would you turn back history? And if you could, would you turn back time and would you still kiss me?"
'Coma' is about that everyday situation of trying to get that girl to notice you. We've all had that feel as if we're invisible, hence the lyrics "I saw you down, by the creek. I saw you were sleeping solidifying. I tried to wake you, you were feeling. I tried to wake you, you were dreaming." I feel as if i'm trying to get her to notice me but she is in a total solidified sleep state similar to a Coma. |

I've always been fascinated with cities, I used to live in one, but I grew up surrounded by fields and forests, Out the back of the house I grew up in is just rolling fields and trees to the horizon. The album is about the loss of that, and the loss of all youth, and trying to recapture what I used to have, the older I get the more I realise I am a product of that environment, or maybe the more I realise I have always been one. When I think back to things in my past, I thing of places, not people, and there are strange people living in the rooms all your memories took place in. |

The growls sound really limp though. >>48586570 I love the layered guitars, remind me a bit of something Phil Elverum would do, especially the distortion. It would be better if your vocals were louder, because your lyrics look pretty good and it's a shame I can't hear them properly. >>48586593 This sounds so much like early Mount Kimbie it's unreal. Usually I would object to that but this is OK because your production is fantastic and there's not much that sounds like early Mount Kimbie, definitely downloading. >>48587375 Great summery vibe and the mixing is great. I think that the concept is a bit wacky which fits the overall feel. Thanks for sharing this anon. >>48587493 I think that the chorusy guitar and the progression are great, but the drums need a little work. Overall, it has a very good feel and the concept is strange, but I can sadly relate to it. I would really like to hear an album or at least an EP of material like this. >>48587536 The punky sound works great on this, the vocals are fantastic and full of energy and the guitar and drums have a lot of punch. The singer sounds like Win Butler if he was a punk (which is, in this case, a good thing.) >>48588662 Those guitars and mathy drums are great, I love the way it sort of slips out of a time signature and then goes back into it. The vocals could have a bit of work done on them in terms of effects but this is great. >>48588695 I love the sustain of tension and atmosphere here without going into a huge crescendo every few minutes is fantastic, and the mathy parts are even better. The overall sound is fantastic, but the vocals near the end are a bit rubbish. >>48588900 Sounds a bit like something /b/ would make in the Tumblr/4chan war thing (is that even going?) But it's also a bit funny, just because of how few track there are and how little effort were put into them. Good work. |

Tyrone Street ft Olivia on Winter Moth: There's a scene in Me And You And Everyone We Know where the main guy and girl are walking down the street and the girl compares the street to a relationship, something along the lines of "it's like this road is us dating, and the Ice Land sign is the halfway point where we start to get bored with each other, and Tyrone Street is the end." (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQDVa-dUIz0)
My ex and I really enjoyed that movie, long story short she is now my ex. Tyrone Street is the end. End of the relationship, end of my being unhappy with the situation, end of the album. It's just the end.
For Another Seashell from Dot Dash Porchlight Seashells are relationships. I jumped through a lot of hoops for some of them and in the end it was just a stoic, transient seashell, doomed to be lost at the hand of waves sooner or later.

you know that old dilapidated house that sits by itself, on that road a few miles out from town? something's in there. something doesn't live there, per se, but i've heard stories. things from some bygone era come out of there all the time. my friend's cousin checked out out once - in the daytime, obviously - and the basement isn't a basement at all. the stairs on the ground floor lead to some sort of medieval stone thing. a castle? a dungeon? holy shit, who knows. but it's a hell of a lot older than the house that was built on top of it. there were stairs in there, too, huge, moss-covered steps, leading down. he didn't go down them.
i've been listening to the radio. art bell, other supernatural radio shows. there's a recurring theme among callers' stories - people dressed in robes, or armor, or loincloths, lurking behind fast food joints and libraries. i can't say for sure, but i saw a long billowing cloak disappear into the back door of the old closed-down EB games the other day.
i'm heading over to that house to get to the bottom of this. i've got my backpack, a flashlight, some protein bars. the sun's going down in a couple hours, and i'm going to see what's at the bottom of those big stone stairs. |
