| >> | No.48205317 >>48205114 A bunch of factors, really/ Dee Dee did heroin like it was candy for a large portion of his life, Joey has that same thing Bradford Cox has, and doctors usually advised against him touring at all, let alone at the constant pace he'd go at, Johnny once had the utter shit kicked out of him a few years ago and had to get portions of his brain replaced (shit was really fucked up) but I don't think that actually affected his death so forget I ever brought that up to begin with. I don't know, man, cancer can fuck you up when you least expect it.
Nowadays it's made to seem like it isn't as much of a big deal as it used to be, but it still is a massive deal. Especially to those who don't take time out to relax and pace themselves. From their twenties until the day they all died, they were touring non-stop pretty much. Those few years they got off from '96 to the early aughts were merely the accumulated day-offs they earned playing all of those gigs. It definitely caught up to them, but I'll be damned if they didn't go out giving as good, if not better, as they got. |
