I honestly can't make it past Leather High School. I love James Ferraro, but Night Dolls is just so fucking jarring and nauseating to the point where it's disturbing. iasia is my favorite pre- farside virtual release. It's the first time he played around with ideas of consumerism and all the stuff he touches on in FSV, but is probably just dismissed for its wacky cover.

stuff like iAsia is what he'll be remembered for. wish he'd go back to doing those fucked up no-fi alternate reality / pop culture noise nightmare soundtracks. it's what he's best at. it's all been downhill since Far Side Virtual. the acclaim he got for that made him think that he can do anything but he's a noise musician at heart.
