/mu/ - Music (Temp full images)

I've discovered a lot more great music on /mu/ than I'd like to admit.
In fact /mu/ was a massive help in getting me into fuckloads of genres, everything from riot grrrl and post-hardcore to free jazz and afrobeat to harsh noise and power electronics.

i always come to mu if i don't know what to listen to and can barely ever find a thread discussing music. most of it seems to be rating each other, feels and meta shit.

/mu/ is a great place to discover new music as long as you disregard everyone's opinions about said music and make your own because it can be very easy to follow the hivemind

As much as I dislike /mu/, I have to admit it has introduced me to fuckloads of new artists and genres. Without /mu/ I probably wouldn't be into techno and all of its counterparts, and I definitely wouldn't be into bands like Daughters, Melt Banana, Boris. Oh and I probably would have never found Eureka and Machine Girl. I was actually introduced to Death Grips by a friend. He always used to played TMS and I hated it and now they're one of my favorite groups.

i know it's obvious and lame but i recently decided to listen to ITAOTS even though i knew its maymay status for years and i gotta say it's amazing.
