What is your favorite album you've found from /mu/ that you probably wouldn't have had exposure to elsewhere?
Hoping to write this such a way that people will actually discuss the quality of the music, what you like or dislike about it, share obscure music, whatever

Pic related, it's "IV" by Angel'in Heavy Syrup. This album helped me realize how much I like Japanese-language vocals, it's also a great all-female 3 piece who blends krautrock/jam-band qualities with a shoegaze aesthetic.

Crazy Blues is just one hell of a ride and I do enjoy the fact that the first album is a bit more noise-y rather than having the proper shoegaze sound in IV, but they're all bloody amazing.

If you like Japanese vocals, OP. Try out Douji Morita, Angel'in Heavy Syrup made a cover of her song "Why Don't You Take a Sightseeing Bus With Me?" on the first album.

Morita plays a beautiful psych folk that only becomes more powerful once you learn all the meaning behind her singing and her live album is absolutely stunning.

I've been following share threads for 2+ years and there has been dozens of bands I may have never found without /mu/.
A lot of post-rock/stoner bands and a bunch of bands from Europe, Japan and Russia.
toe and The Kim Tak Building are my two recommendations.
