Weirdest places you've heard /mu/core:

I've heard Burial's 'Street Halo', 'Wounder', and 'South London Boroughs' played on adult swim in the past hour.

When I was a college freshman I walked into an ongoing class in the art department because I thought it was mine. A girl was playing Vogt Dig for Kloppervok by The Books and I thought I was in a dream. It was such a surreal moment, I didn't know how to react. Her friends sitting around her all told her to turn off her "weird radio station that wasn't even music." I never spoke to her, never saw her again. I think about her and the conversation we could have had whenever I hear that song. If only I had grown into my big boy body and gained that confidence before freshman...

Do you really think people around here put Burial on the same glorious pedestal that they put The Antlers, NMH, Kanye, KC, DOOM, or any of those waifu-acts? Burial is generally appreciated by /mu/, but it's not /mu/core. /mu/core is a joke.

On a related note, my high school english teacher loves NMH, Fiona Apple, and Nick Drake. We shared a moment when she played Two Headed Boy pt. 1

Give R&M one season, you'll see it for what it truly is. It's the same as Bob's Burgers or any Seth McFuckface show. Sitcoms, all of them. It's an animated, laugh-track-less, bad sitcom. Can there be a good sitcom, though? Sure, I think if the show does a great job at creating solid characters that can react naturally and interestingly with other characters, then there should be nothing keeping it from being a great show for years on end.
>KotH
When the writing is centered all around a comedic adventure or "some crazy shit happens and whoa what are we all gonna do??", then character building and an artist's social intentions are at a loss and you end up with a shit show that will have one or two exciting seasons like R&M before they've exhausted the list of gags/plots/twists/turns/societal points that every single sitcom has used for the last 30 years.

Seriously though, Space Ghost Coast to Coast is what got Adult Swim and Williams Street/Ghost Planet running. They would be nothing without it.
They recycle animations from the old Space Ghost cartoons that your grandpa watched. It is a faux-talk show hosted by Space Ghost where he interviews pop celebrities. Sometimes they understand that they are on the Space Ghost show, usually they give completely unrelated answers though because questions asked in live-action interview =/= questions space ghost asks

along with antics everywhere by many supporting characters

Not Adult Swim's best, but you can tell that all of the best were inspired by its comedy.
