Is she looking for a turntable, or are you just looking for an excuse to get one?

Also, the goto budget TT is the Audi Technical AT LP-120

>> No.45674961

you will not be able to buy anything that is new and good for $150. You can however find something very good for that price secondhand through various local online resources or flea markets or mass record sales etc. It will take time and research though so if her birthday is soon you might want to rethink your gift idea

You sound like you don't care about the quality of the sound, you just want the novelty of a turntable. Just buy a crossly like every other dumb hipster.

>LP-120
Sure if you're a faggot who want's to make the most boring choice possible.

Used tables are cool because you don't know what you're gonna get going into it, and the effort you put into finding one (not necessarily a lot, but more effort than typing in "Record Player" into Amazon and buying the first thing you see) makes it all the more special to you. LP-120's are chinese made and are pretty much the absolute minimum in okay budget turntables.

I wouldn't pay anywhere near $200 for one even if I wanted one, but they're a safe choice if you want to sell yourself short and say you're too stupid to try and get a nice used budget setup going.

If you're going used, belt/direct drive doesn't really matter, besides the fact that vintage belt drive turntables might need their belt replaced.

Pic related, it's my bitch, paid $160 for it and even then I overpaid cause muh Nazi turntable.

why are we having this thread again? just direct the obviously newfaggot OP to the sticky and hide the thread

also OP you should know that "whats a good turntable" is one of the most posted questions on here and its the same fucking thing as asking for a good anime on /a/

please mods delete this thread

Don't buy one

The reason CD managed to overtake vinyl in the 90's was that vinyl require serious cash invested for it to be worth it, its not for the average joe

wipe your ass with 150 dollars instead, its better use
