What does /mu/ think of this short little tune I wrote for piano? http://vocaroo.com/i/s0DmhVldu7cE>tfw all you can write is simple little ditties that are less than a minuteDo you write music, /mu/?
>>45331286Nice, keep writing and you might become great!
>>45331286Okay, keep writing and you might become good!
>>45331671>>45331720>tfw you've dropped from being nice to okaythanks anyways!
>>45331286This is cool, sounds like Mario Kart music or something.
>>45331286Bad, keep writing you might become great!
honestly its terrible. very childish and simple.
>>45331973I understand the childish part as it does have that uppity vibe to it, but what's wrong with a song being simple?
>>45332055dont worry about that clown.keep writing and being passionate about what you do.
>>45332080thanks man. I wasn't being defensive, I was just curious as to why he thinks simple is bad
The notes in the treble aren't bad, but it sounds like you don't have a clue what you're doing in the bass clef. Note choice doesn't make much sense, it sounds randomly chosen
Transpose to C minor and slow the tempo
How about both hands playing at the same time? Not being sarcastic, but you should have a more dynamic harmony. Also,>parallel fifths
>>45332969Here's a tip, outside of your music theory 101 class, nobody cares about parallel fifths.Use your ears op!
>>45332080Well, if you're expecting to make a career out of composition, simple music that isn't original won't help you make a name for yourself or stick out
>>45333110Parallel fifths sound bad. It has nothing to do with theory. They simply sound bad, save for a few cases. It has nothing to do with theory.
http://vocaroo.com/i/s1UWaCIid01HI love making shitty midi ideas
http://vocaroo.com/i/s1KVlVMD9Z4QHere's some shitty video game music. Man, this compression sure is a bitch
>>45331286It's okay. It's not bad, but there's nothing that makes it special, that makes it something else than just "another piano song".
>>45333481>Parallel fifths sound bad.not always but in this case you're right
Honestly word, OP! I like the things that I write but [lately] I've been finding it difficult to go beyond like 1 or 2 minute diddles, lol.. it's annoying actually!
>>45333202Okay then, explain the popularity of Ludovico Einaudi.
OP here again, thanks for the criticisms guys.
>>45331286those to first little bass lines you got going there sound great. either than that it's ok.
>>45334190The same idiots who think Piano Guys are Classical.
