Larry Young - Lawrence Of Newark

This is some good, forgotten jazz fusion. It's pretty funky and a little bit avant garde, but I think it should be shared here. This guy played on Bitches Brew and was an important pioneer for fusion, avant grade, funk, and soul keyboard playing. Also, the cover and title are hilarious and I think it fits right in with all that P-Funk stuff.

If that other one I posted was a little too weird for your liking, I highly recommend this. It's also jazz funk and Herbie Hancock is here playing electric piano, and this thing grooves. right in the spirit of the album Maggot brain, this isn't really funky, more like psychedelic rock with some soul rythms, but it's very good anyway. there are some annoying tape hosses on the third track, but it's a short one and the quality is very good otherwise
