So, my understanding is that the genre prefix "core" denotes some connection to hardcore or post-hardcore. As in the case of mathcore, deathcore and what have you.
Can someone then explain to me why "slowcore" is a genre. I just don't hear the hardcore influence in that music. Also, why has the term /mu/-core come to be accepted when it simply makes no sense.
