Fuck off

Guitar, synth, piano are top tier
Bass, drums, saxophone, violin are high tier

I'm not qualified enough to comment on any other instruments, all I can say is recorder is surely low tier and triangle is 'good try' tier.

It's not about how respected and classical (or 'patrician') the instrument is you autist, although I know /mu/tards like yourself like to be faggots about this sort of thing. It's about how valuable it is to the creation of music. Where the fuck would we be without the invention of the synth? How can it possibly be considered low tier?

Recorder is generally shit because people can't play it, and it doesn't really work on its own, but when someone uses the recorder like a pro it's god tier.

What sort of music does it work well with other than classical sheet music played by amateur pre-teens anyway? i can't really imagine but I'm interested now if you have any good examples. I can imagine post-rock with recorders potentially being good...

>> No.44505017

>What sort of music does it work well
Generally prog stuff, Peter Gabriel played a bunch of flutes, at times recorder. If I'm not mistaken there's a nice little recorder tune at the beginning of The Battle of Epping Forest.
There's also the swedish progg(not prog, it's confusing) scene, which every now and then has recorders.

It's rare, though. Which is understandable. Most of the time it's just used as a comedic instrument because it usually IS hilariously bad.
