The fact that so many books still name the Beatles "the greatest or most significant or most influential" rock band ever only tells you how far rock music still is from becoming a serious art. Jazz critics have long recognized that the greatest jazz musicians of all times are Duke Ellington and John Coltrane, who were not the most famous or richest or best sellers of their times, let alone of all times. Classical critics rank the highly controversial Beethoven over classical musicians who were highly popular in courts around Europe. Rock critics are still blinded by commercial success: the Beatles sold more than anyone else (not true, by the way), therefore they must have been the greatest. Jazz critics grow up listening to a lot of jazz music of the past, classical critics grow up listening to a lot of classical music of the past. Rock critics are often totally ignorant of the rock music of the past, they barely know the best sellers. No wonder they will think that the Beatles did anything worth of being saved.

Welcome to... Snoop Dogg presents objective facts about music in 1969!
1. Led Zeppelin are arguably the worst band of all time, and BOTH of their albums released in 1969 are better than Abbey Road!
2. The Rolling Stones, always living in the shadows of the Beatles, for the first released an album better than the Beatles album released that year!
3. Nick Drake and Neil Young both released the albums that are considered to be their career starters in this year! it's a good thing the Beatles are terrible in 1969, because two bright new stars appeared!
4. Frank Zappa, arguably the worst talented musician of all time, released his first good album in 1969! and it was better than Abbey Road!
5. the Band, often associated with Bob Dylan, are fucking terrible! that said, their 1969 self-titled is better than Abbey Road!
6. the Stooges, though less credited than the Beatles, released their debut in 1969, which is not only better than Abbey Road, but had more influence on interesting music than the whole Beatles discography!
7. To round out the trio, the Who released Tommy, arguably their worst album ever, in 1969! and it was better than Abbey Road!

Thank you for viewing Snoop Dogg objective facts! Have fun, smoke a blunt, and fuck the Beatles!
