Yes excitement! but no this isn't the future imo. I think hip hop is ripe for splitting off further into cool experimental avenues, and each of those avenues will be a deconstruction or departure from traditional rhythms/production/lyrics where maybe (i hope) each of these sub genres become genres of their own, in the way that rock has evolved. That would be exciteing.

This is kinda neat. The grumbly-mumbly cadence is something I tried to do when I started rapping. I couldn't make it work and I got a lot of advice to speak up and project my voice. This guy makes it sound pretty good.
