Relistened to Psychocandy last night for the first time in a long time, for how amazing it is.

Also, this was pretty good, 80's synth/new wave and post-punk inspirations. Really noisey and punkish at times too.

I did the same, and the had the same result. 10/10 album.

Gave pic related a listen just now, pretty good despite obviously borrowing from other shoegazer bands. Also has sort of an emo vibe throughout, but it isn't overpowering if you're put off by that.

8/10 worth listening to.

Opinions on Chapterhouse?

I think they're really underrated. Despite being on a major label early in their career they managed to maintain a respectable amount of quality in their discography. Whirlpool and the Mesmerise EP are highlights.

Well my go to feelsy albums are probably the most well-known in the genres: Loveless, Souvlaki and Head over Heels. Though it's a weird feel, as I'm listening I'm wondering if anything ever will compare to the beauty of the music.

Also, noise pop such gives me a weird kind of anger-releasing feel, though i only know of Lucie Vacarme, Mercury Rev and Jesus and Mary Chain in that genre.

We have some decent ones in KBH I reckon. The one I work in exclusively deals in second-hand though, so we don't have any new stuff pretty much ever. We still have some cool stuff every now and then though.

>>42426825
Huh, R66 isn't that expensive? And Fona på Stroget is pretty alright too. Sure, it's almost exclusively new, hip and 'indie' stuff, but there's some good stuff still.

Yep, I live in Barcelona, and indeed it is a GOAT place. The attitude of the vast majority of the people living here ruins the atmosphere a bit for me though, they're usually super "edgy" and are constantly copying UK trends, especially the teens.

But whelp, there's a bunch of other people living here so it's not that big of a problem, I guess I'm just over-analysing '^__^

We actually do have a tiny indie section lol. But it's 50% The Cure and the rest are not too interesting either. There just aren't people selling second-hand indie stuff, and when there are (we had somebody sell us Lana Del Rey's album and JT's new one and such), they get ripped away instantly.

I just love the fact that this chart has The December Sound, Mazzy Star, Psychocandy and Bowery Electric on there. On Fire was p good too, but I'm not a huge fan of Kitchens of Distinction. My fav CT album is HoLV so far, but have only listened to that and Treasure. How does Just For A Day compare to the rest of Slowdive's stuff? Pygmalion > Souvlaki imo.

KOC are not much of a big deal, but Strange Free World stick to me really hard when I first heard it so that's why it's second in the chart. And I absolutely love Galaxie 500, they're awesome.

Dude, Heaven or Las Vegas is my favourite CT too, Blue Bell Knoll it's close though. I recommend you to listen to Head Over Heels and Blue Bell Knoll if you haven't already, they're great.

Just for a Day it's a grower IMO. At first it was really meh, but at mid of the second listen/third listen you catch it and realize it's equally or even better than Slowdive.

Haven't listened to Pygmalion yet, might check it out soon.
