He believes what he sings about, but that's more because he has a very vivid/ disturbed imagination, rather than based on actual experience.
I'd also say he's somewhat of a savant. (ie paintings)

MC Ride is basically a character played by Stefan Burnett. He probably is a Satanist, but that's not really a super-weird thing. It's not like he sacrifices goats or anything. The psychopath thing is just part of the character. He is not, and has never been (to my knowledge), homeless. Before he was in Death Grips, he was in a rap group called Fyre with his brother Swank (known then as Swank Daddy) and another guy. The group released 14 albums, the last three of which are available on iTunes. If I recall correctly, he delivered pizza before he was in Death Grips, and he and Zach Hill met through a common interest in black metal.

Does anyone know anything about his tattoos?

he dropped out of art school, then he bussed tables at a pizza place for 10 years and is really into painting and writing. all that food service work must've put him down bad.

MC Ride is simply a character, yet the soft-spoken nature of Stefan Burnett in no way invalidates this. He is an intelligent man; the intricate story and thematic basis of Ride which he has constructed are admirable. Claiming Death Grips is any less "real" due to this disparity is as outlandish as Mary Shelly to her Frankenstein's monster.
