>>40248584>Drums & Wires>Black Sea>Skylarking>English SettlementPick any
The production on Black Sea is fantastic.
i've only heard English Settlement by them and found it uninteresting as fuck to be honest. is that their best one?
>>40248721Faster paced/Punkier stuff would be their earlier stuff, so try Black Sea, Drums & Wires, and/or Go 2
>>40248721Also ES is considered one of their best but I there isn't an album that is generally considered their best (Like Remain in Light by Talking Heads). >>40248642 are the Big 4, but my personal favorites are Go 2, The Big Express, Drums & Wires, and Black Sea
ugh skylarking is like one of my top 5 albums. Is anything else close?
>>40249161XTC made more psychedelic music under the pseudonym Dukes of Stratosphear, two EP's that they put together to make pic related. It isn't quite like Skylarking but it's as close as any other XTC album gets, I guess.
>>40249300Man thank you so much! Gonna get this shit now
>>40249365No problem, you might wanna also check out Todd Rundgren, who was the producer for Skylarking. I haven't heard much of his stuff so I couldn't tell you exactly what to look for.
>>40248774>>40248893thanks, i may check another record. i mean, i liked some parts of ES, but 72 minutes and 15 songs? hell no nigga, after a while i got kinda bored.
yep i like skylarking
>>40249498None of their other albums sound quite like English Settlement so you might like something else.
>>40249418once again cheers man! making my day haha
>>40249547oh cool. thanks m8
