When Nana Grizol's Cynicism hit that crescendo I never fail to get goosebumps. "Ruth" is such a great album, but it might not be the kind of feels you're talking about.

Check out some fucking Dan Johnston, dude. If you can't get into "Hi, How Are You?" right away listen to "Don't Be Scared." I thought HHAY was fucking garbage when I first heard it, but I listened to some of his earlier, more accessible work and started to get the guy and now I feel like we're kindred souls or something.

The Mountain Goats gave me ridiculous feels when I saw them live at the Newport Folk Festival. I almost started crying. Shit was cathartic. But they totally fail to interest me when I listen to their recordings, so idk.

Phil Ochs's feelsy songs are really good (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_IkdKl37G5Y). They're kind of hard to find though since 90% of what he wrote was political, but the cover album that song is from is fucking awesome.
