| >> | No.38855906 OP here. Nothing more to share, but I wanted to say something before leaving. It is great to have a sharethread like this, with grateful people, interested people, and absence of playground kids yelling pleb or simply spending time in pointless discussions about taste. I like /mu/, I have been here for 5 years or so, and it is sad that lately I spend more time in rym or in music blogs, because this site is fucked up. I come back, though, because /mu/ feels like home, even if it is crowded with stupid threads and the real sharing and discussion of interesting topics, or concrete genres recommendations are only a redoubt among awful shit. Thanks to all of you for still make a good place out of /mu/. It is hard sometimes. |

"Furry" Lewis was Memphis based blues musician who put out a series of moderately successful recordings in the 20’s but was largely forgotten about until the late 60’s because of a renewed interest in older folk and blues music, Furry is known for his soft singing voice and his guitar playing built upon repeating simple riffs and slides, this compilation captures some of the best material he cut with the Victor and Vocalion record labels and is personally some of my favorite blues, the recording feels very intimate, usually stripped of any unnecessary flourishes or backup, just a man telling a story with his guitar, and at times reminds me of listening to a friend casually strumming away, highest bitrate I could get it but due to the quality of the recordings it doesn’t matter much http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DVIXcMCg15c https://mega.co.nz/#!l9QyjYyD!APhhVDZe-jMygIx8gIUUPTGJlCon-YzgFOuiLfYUqr4 |
