When I sat down and listened to this, it was very surreal. It sounded so familiar, and very hauting, specifically the instrumental that immediately follows the lyrics "In the court of the Crimson King" in the title song. I learned later that my brother likes this album, so he must have played it when I was younger and didn't remember what it was. It still sounds like the score to a horror film to me.

I bought this album on vinyl and listened to it for the first time a while ago. I listened to it too loud and had a panic attack. My head and my stomach hurt and I listened to all of side two curled up into a ball on my couch.
