My 63 year old barber knew what album this was. How does that make you feel mu?
great thread very funny thank you for the contribution
The same /mu/ has always done when the artist they hype starts going mainstream: pretend to hate its guts.Done with AnCo, James Blake, Death Grips, etc.

I was at my nephews little league game and during halftime I was helping the coach sort out their equipment. He told me to go out into the shed and get the gatorade tanks for the kids. I walk in there and I pick up a tank and I find this album taped to the back of it.
I was watching Spongebob on Nickalodean and this album came on during one of the GoGurt commercials
was watching some documentary about Malaysian tribes and they showed one that had made this album their god. man, those guys were annoying.

During a test my teacher played this album to calm the class
I first encountered Deafhaven literally at the end of my college days, and this album at a time when I was still struggling with the idea of what I wanted to do with my life. This is the album that made me want to start making music; its allegedly "beautiful" take on vocals had a tremendous impact on me—it was like a berserk siren song. I quickly learned that the view was beautiful once I actually started listening, which in some ways made me really resent the fans. But there was a second component to Sunbather that really influenced me, and that was the struggle between cohesion and aesthetic. The producers had to find a way that enhanced them both and took nothing from either of them. I’d been through some half-hearted albums by then and was thinking there was nothing out there that could impress. Jack Shirley's work showed me why I shouldn’t settle for just anyone and modeled what music should be—a true partnership of ideas. This album came out right after Christmas. 6 months later I can honestly say that this is my favorite album of all time, really. Anybody who is even slightly thinking about listening to this magnificent piece of work should go ahead and do so.
>>38114718Way to grab the worst sunbather jpg. It's supposed to be orange and pink not pink and pink. You faggot.
