I just stumbled over him.

The first track was beautiful and calming,
but after the second track started I began grinning like a child.

What's your opinion on Philip Glass?

Have you ever had a moment when you were just blown away by beautiful music?

In C is an indeterminate composition, performers can effectively change the composition and the instrumentation of the piece. I do not think the original recording featuring Terry Riley and Steve Reich as performers is particularly good, I personally would recommend the Ictus Ensemble's performance and the Bang on a Can performance, both are sound very different due to the indeterminacy but don't just grab a random performance from rutracker because it will probably be shit

srsly though Glassworks is just a pop album Philip Glass made when he sold out, Einstein on the Beach is his masterpiece and was an early work, at the apex of his skill, when he had finished experimenting with compositional process experiments and had started using them to make something greater than just an experiment, but before he sold and started writing shitty pop music to appeal to the public and in shitty films that want an oh so emotional soundtrack.

Srsly anon, you're going to have to do better than that.

The album was critically panned by every single respected critic in the world and you're claiming that means nothing because that's someone else's opinion. Your opinion is against the general consensus among experts, who actually know what they're talking about rather than just being some faggot neckbeard who's listened to 5 Philip Glass albums (all soundtracks) and one by Steve Reich too. So why do you think it is the best Philip Glass album? Can you actually back up your opinion because the burden of proof rests on you to argue your opinion when your opinion is far-fetched and against exert opinion.

>Can you actually back up your opinion? I'm not really sure what you're expecting me to prove to you or how you want me to do it. I have pretty much everything Glass and Shankar have released and I think it's a great album.

I'm not sure why you would place so much importance on critics. I've never read a single review of the album in question, it never occurred to me to wonder what 'experts' think of it.
