Emo really is music that saved my life. When I got into Sunny Day Real Estate, At the Drive in, and I hate myself, I knew this was the music for me. I dig a lot of mainstream "emo" too. Hawthorne Heights, late era Mest, Jimmy Eat World etc, but the genre in general really did give me a sense of belonging and acceptance. Thanks guys, for contributing to keeping this genre alive.
