Anybody feel like joining a band that'll be one of the biggest & best bands on the planet?

I'm looking for younger musicians, as I'm planning to have this group run for 50 years or more.

So musicians starting out young is what I'm aiming for, as the band's longevity will be more secure. The age of 25 would be the max age for when the debut is finally released. So that means if you're 25 now, then it'd be too late.

We're aiming to be bands like Led Zeppelin. A band that was enormously commercially successful, but was also met with near-equal critical acclaim.

Similar to Radiohead, Beatles, Pink Floyd, zeppelin, etc. we'll dabble in a variety of genres but remain a Rock band. When we delve into these genres, we'll create a top tier example of those genres, as the mentioned bands have. So, be prepared to create beautiful, inspiring music in an array of genres, not just one. We'll together study these genres throughout the decades they've been played in order to do so.

Anyway...The band will be formed in two years (2014). From now till those two years are up, we'll practice and come up with music ideas. From 2014 to 2015, we will get signed, continue to write, and record our debut album, and have it released by 2015 at the latest. By the end of the following year (2016) or sometime in the year after (2017), we will no doubt be amongst the biggest and most acclaimed bands on the planet. This will be the result of revolutionary campaign strategies I am thinking of (we will all pitch together ideas), among a variety of other methods.

Also, this will be a heavy touring a band. You look at a band like Metallica, and they have done tours for nearly ever year they've been a band. When they're not touring to promote an album, they're touring for the hell of it. That's what we'll be doing. I'll be needing 110% of your energy. It'll be very worth it, as we'll be influenced by that, and come up with incredible, innovative, unorthodox tours and projects.

In regards to technical proficiency of your instrument, I'm aiming for at least something like Metallica. It won't be too demanding, but the music will push you hard enough where you'll need to keep your chops up to consistently play it. Think Metallica's "...And Justice for All" album for how complex the music would get. Our more Metal-sounding songs would be the ones responsible for the more demanding instrumentation.

So to join the band, you'd need to meet all of the following requirements:
- young
- proficient in a variety of genres in two years
- have a STRONG work ethic to meet the demands of touring and a variety of side projects we'll be doing
- be prepared to stay with the bend for at least 50+ years
- have the technical capabilities of Metallica at their peak
-have the talent to create classic albums that incorporate a variety of genres.

This may seem daunting now. But two years of training (before the album is finally recorded) should whip you into shape. Of course, you'll also continue to grow as a musican as the years go on after our debut album is released.

Fuck you

What's funny is that the band name actually comes from a username from here.

He was a tripfag for a few years. Dunno if he still posts here.

It's great though, because when telling the story behind the name in interviews, it kind of connects automatically to this internet generation. Similar to Deadmou5's name

Radiohead. But then again, they flourished in the 90s.

Arcade Fire's been pretty successful and acclaimed. Not enormous, though.

But yeah. I wish I could discuss these marketing plans I have. They'd really blow you away. It's things Arcade Fire could have done, too.

What's funny is that bands like Mastodon or Arcade Fire really could have been as popular as those faggots

They're successful, especially Arcade Fire, but not nearly as much as they should have been.
I know I'm sounding crazy. Like 'sure, whatever marketing ideas you have, would have been implemented years ago if they're possible'

but really, you could say the same any great idea

Yeah. Sites like 4chan, reddit, and what have you...Have all that down. And again, amazingly enough, NO band have done the marketing ideas I have for these sites. It's amazing.

I may be speaking too soon, though. Which is why I want to hurry up and take this project off the sooner the better

the plans will be discussed once we all finally get together. It's secretive and lame, but you know.
