Incidentally, most of my favorite groups or artists are based in the U.K, even though I'm from the U.S. I grew up with late '80s and early '90s culture, but wasn't much of an audio enthusiast then. Most anything pushed by the RIAA for consumption in U.S. markets pretty much sucks, IMO. Thanks to the advent of the Internet, I discovered trip-hop in the 2000s and just branched out from there.
