This album is a real treat if your already a fan of John Carpenter music that he did for his films. It's a very 80's synth heavy album that just oozes with cinematic atmosphere going from sinister slasher horror to bad ass dude action flicks. But if your not already familiar with his work or taking this as a standalone project that is something separate from his cinematic body of work, then I can see this album being received as mostly average to slightly above average for a synth electro project. There not a whole lot of groundbreaking in this album and may come across as primitive when compared to whats out there already.
But as for me, I place myself somewhere around the former seeing that I grew up with a fondness for his films and his musical scores. So it's because of bit of nostalgia that I rate this so high. But I'm ok with that.
