I hate to hijack this thread, but I figured it would be better than to create another turntable thread.
I recently got a Numark TTUSB turntable for Christmas. I don't care for SQ at the moment (I already have a good turntable in the living room, this is for my bedroom) but will it fuck up my vinyl?
It has a counterweight and anti-skate, but I think adjusting the anti-skate does fuck all. The needle also jumps on worn out records (I only have one vinyl that does it, but I am sure there will be more as I expand my collection).
I'll end up replacing it at some point, since even if it doesn't damage my vinyl it leaves much to be desired (dust cover, automatic start/stop, cueing lever). Just wanted to know if I should do that now or later.
