Tricot - T H E
Highs of glorious funky math rock, lows of extremely bland J-rock, this is good for certain tracks but its formulaic tendencies set it way below similar artists in my opinion. The super-clean sound would have been better suited to an EP, and the production dwindles in a lot of places as well. On the other hand, the lead vocalist packs a punch, and certain guitar tones definitely hit the spot. But yeah, heavy-handed and reducible overall.
