Just a general word of warning to you all about relationships, and especially when the idea of an engagement is even jokingly tossed around.

- Make sure you know, truly know who and what you will be dealing with. Look at the worst aspects and ask yourself could you handle a lifetime where this behavior could reappear?

- Don't ever, ever be shy to voice a concern about your SO to them. Sure, you can be however blunt or succinct as feels appropriate for the person/situation, but never, ever let it pass you by.

Hate to sound so down, but at least articulating some of this on here is better than a million more destructive things I could be doing to myself right now. Ah well, time for some more tea and music.

Just really pay attention to her tone. You SHOULD be able to tell if she's interested on escalating your relasionship or not. It may not always be you too, so don't ever blame yourself unless you blantently fuck her over. A lot of times people don't want something serious. Just relax, you'll be okay!
