I dickride the hell of out Taylor Swift and post her pasty face all over this board and I agree with you entirely. The moral one rule in the world of Taylor lyrics is "be Taylor Swift or someone she likes". She's all about emotions in one moment and the sort of sulking or celebrating you do before actually thinking something through and that's her strength - and let's face it, most people and especially most young people are going to have kneejerk reactions to paint themselves mentally as the good guys or unfairly put upon.
I'm not sure I get the "role model" thing either - Taylor's very good at being Taylor and being hardworking, and does fan relations better than just about everyone else, but I do feel that most people who say Tay's a good role model are just projecting whatever post-princess shit they want for girls onto Taylor. Liking that she wears modest dresses and long hair and doesn't rock the boat or whatever - which are all fine things to do, but their alternatives are equally fine.
