Today, I listened to Trippin' with Cal Green, which is retty much just a random discogs find.
I can't say I expected it to be that good.
This album is a good blend of excentricity and exploitation of the boundaries placed by a certain norm. All in all, nothing here is very different from what you could find on a groove-oriented jazz album of the psychedelic era, but the way every instrument is played and processed, the way the interplay is conducted and inserted within the frame of the composition is original in that it kind of denies any focus and creates a fuzzy, colorful whole instead.
