The opening track from this came up on spotify radio once , and I was just drawn into the absolute insanity of it , and listened to the rest of it.Pretty much ditched all the pleb bands I listened to at the time after that.

My second Mars Volta album. I could really fall in love with this if it weren't for the production. A lot of sounds are panned dead centre, and they get really muddy. I have to turn it up so loud just to hear what the band is going for.

I was a huge mars volta fanboy in the mid to late 2000s and the hype for this album was immense. It leaked the night before I was seeing them live. I've never enjoyed hearing an album more for the first time than that night and the concert the next night is still my top favorite even though Im not into this band as much as I was back then.
