Welp, I have now officially heard all of their official discog.
The Holding Our Breath EP is a neat lil' piece of Slowdive history, featuring an early (lo-fi-ish and sloppier) version of Catch the Breeze, an interesting cover of Syd Barrett's Golden Hair and two new tracks.
New track #1, Shine, sounds like it could've been on Just for a Day and features their signature echo-drenched washes of guitar along with some great vocals.
New track #2, Albatross, is a lot less accomplished than the rest of this EP. The two verses are uncharacteristically quiet but both explode into a massive wall of noise. Sadly they handle the 'explosion' thing very clumsily. It doesn't nearly pack the punch it could've packed.
