It seems to me that most jazz artists that were big in the 60s all jumped over to near full-blown funk by the early 70s.
Miles Davis and Herbie Hancock are two of the bigger examples, but other artists like Archie Shepp and Chick Corea to some extent did as well.
What are the best jazz-turned-funk artist and albums? I'm looking for less obvious stuff.
