I just listened to the first couple songs on A Promise, and I'll admit it's a hard digest. But something's telling me to stick with it, so i could grow to like this album. his singing is very emotional and uh...strained, but idk thats not an adequate description i think. whatever ill just listen more

the lo fi aesthetic adds to the tension. also the singer is a little gayboy it seems, is that part of the story?
