Whenever someone says something like this, they never really do anything to adequately explain what makes Swans' newer releases significantly worst than anything else Gira had done. Outside the most vague and trivial sentiments (i.e. it goes on for too long, it's overproduced, early Swans was better, etc.), I've never seen a truly compelling set of negative opinions and criticisms outside that one lukewarm review of TBK from The Guardian.
