Also, I asked this in the last thread but don't think I got any answers:
I'm working with a four track cassette mixer and recorder, and I'm trying to output from one track, through an effect pedal, and record that back onto a different track on the tape, so it's mixer (track 1) > pedal > mixer (track 2)

I always end up with a lot of high-pitched feedback (that I don't actually want right now) unless I keep the volume really low, though, and it's even worse when I'm trying to record - right now I'm just going to and from my laptop, so it's mixer > pedal > laptop then laptop > mixer, but it'd be a little convenient to just go out of and into the mixer directly. Anything I should/shouldn't be doing?
