Any guitar fags out there interested in making their own hyper space pedal?

My idea is to take a an echoplex effecs pedal and run its signal through a modified tape recorder/player. I would use an aditional pedal to adjust the speed and direction of an electronic motor hooked up to the tape player. The small length of tape would simultaneously have to record and output new sounds to create the sounds you are hearing in these vids. That signal would then be fed back into the amp. This is just a theory. What do you guys think? I suppose this could be done in Max msp some how. tape sounds more cool to me.
