So basically where do I get started with jazz? This probably will piss 90% of you off but after seeing Whiplash I really liked what I heard and it has pushed me to finally get into such an intimidating genre.When I get into a genre I generally and autistically have to start with its origins and work my way up but with jazz there's such a huge history and different sub-genres that I don't feel that would be optimal.Any advice? Perhaps even what style of jazz was the one that was played in the movie?Pls no bully ;________;
