It's got some really fantastic peaks (I Can Hear Music, Be With Me, I Went to Sleep, Never Learn Not to Love, and of course the two SMiLE tracks) but it starts off really weak with Do It Again which is an earache for me. I have to be in a really... specific mood for Cotton Fields as well. Side B is definitely much much stronger, as is often the case with this band.

Pic related is the most underrated Beach Boys album imo. Gets a lot of love around here, thankfully.

Just post and talk about underrated albums in a band's discography. I'll start.

I see this album recommended a lot when people ask something like "What are good Beach Boys albums that aren't Pet Sounds or SMiLE" which is cool, but I never actually see much discussion about it and each song has like 5k listeners on lastfm. I don't know why considering it's basically Pet Sounds, thematically speaking, except with less eloquent prose and about 1000% more moog. The Night Was So Young and I'll Bet He's Nice are two of my favorite Beach Boys songs.
