The future of music is simple, it's gonna be the natural progression of experimental/intellectual types appropriating vaporhop: long moans of texture, swirls of ecstatic gurgles, ethereal waves terminating rhythm. The aesthetic would be druggy, for sure, probably taking on a "purple drank" style - but it'd be cerebral. It'd be a wholly "american" genre and in some ways the organic sequel to jazz music after a century of use - the meeting of white and black american culture along an underground realm of futurism.

Yung Lean was genius - he broke down a barrier. What he makes is more for atmosphere than anything. The natural consequence is vaporhop will be shed it's hip hop skin for hypnagogia and molten sound.
